Commissioners

Kittitas County District 6 is governed by a board of three elected commissioners. The board is responsible for furthering the district’s ability to provide fire prevention services, fire suppression services, emergency medical services and protection of life and property. The board establishes polices for the district and ensures the district operates within the statutory requirements. The Commissioners are supported by the District Secretary in maintaining records.

The KCFPD #6 Commissioners are governed by the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) Title 52.14. Commissioners serve a 6-year term of office as defined by 52.14.60. Commissioners must be residents and registered voters of their district. The KCFPD #6 Commissioners meet once a month on the second Tuesday. The Commissioner meetings are open to the public. Denise Lindstrom – Position 1

Commissioner Denise Lindstrom is the Chair of the commissioners and has been a commissioner since 2002. She was reelected to the position in 2021. Denise’s term ends in 2027.
